| Wells Fargo Center Parking Goes Cashless; 2-Bottle Limit at State Stores; FDA Approves 65+ Booster |

The parking lots at the Wells Fargo Center will no longer accept cash starting this weekend, Saturday, 9/18. They will take all major credit cards as well as digital payment services like Apple Pay and Google Pay. The lots in question are Lots A, B, C, D, E, F, G, and H. These lots surround the Wells Fargo Center. All other lots will continue to accept cash. These are Lots K, M, and N and Phillies Lots P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, and X. Temple Football plays on Saturday at Lincoln Financial Field and the Philadelphia Eagles have their home opener on Sunday.
The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board has implemented a two-bottle-per-day limit for customers of certain products in state stores as well as bars, restaurants, and other licensees. The PLCB blames supply chain issues and product shortages. The rationing will remain in place indefinitely. 43 different products, including various kinds of champagne, bourbon, tequila, cognac and whiskey, will be subject to the limit. An FDA advisory panel rejected a request from Pfizer to give booster shots to the majority of Americans in a vote on Friday, 9/17. The Biden administration had been planning on rolling out booster shots on Monday, September 20. The third shots would have been administered 8 months from a person's second dose. The panel said no to booster shots for those 16 and older, at least not now. The panel did go back and vote a second time and approved a third dose for persons 65 and older or at high risk. The FDA will take into account the panel's ruling when making the final decision. The Moderna and J&J vaccines will have to go through a similar process. |
