3-ft Snoop Dogg Corona Bobbleheads Stolen; Anti-Vax Graffiti in Gwynedd; Masks in Catholic Schools

Police in Bucks and Chester counties are investigating the thefts of a particular promotional beer display item. The thefts happened at the Acme in West Goshen and Giant in Caln, both in Chester County, as well as the Acme in Richboro, Bucks County. Thieves made off with 3-foot-tall bobblehead figurines of rapper Snoop Dogg. The statues were part of promotional displays for Corona beer. They are actually 43-inches and worth $200. They are not available to purchase commercially. Corona is running a contest and will be giving them away at some point. If you have any information, contact police.

Upper Gwynedd Township Police are looking for the public's help in identifying the vandal(s) responsible for spray-painting anti-vaccine messages across the area. The messages were scrawled on street signs, telephone poles, traffic control boxes, and shopping center signs. They read "No Vax" and "No Chill." A message written across the sign for Gwynedd Square Elementary read, "I miss my friends." The affected areas include Valley Forge Road, Sumneytown Pike, and Supplee Road. It happened overnight Tuesday, 8/24. If you have any information, contact police.

The Archdiocese of Philadelphia will require masks indoors for all students, faculty, staff and visitors in all its elementary, secondary, and high schools. This applies to Catholic schools in the entire five-county region. Masks do not have to be worn outdoors or while eating unless the person chooses. "Given the continued presence of COVID-19 and the high-level transmissibility rates associated with the Delta variant, particularly among the unvaccinated in our communities, we remain steadfast in our commitment to ensuring the health and safety of our students, faculty, administrators, and staff," said archdiocese spokesman Kenneth Gavin. The mask requirement will be reevaluated continuously as pandemic conditions change.
