Philadelphia is in World's 10 Best Cities for Parks

That's Right! Frommers Travel site has placed Philadelphia in it's list of World's 10 Best Cities for Parks. Other cities on the list include, New York, Chicago, Tokyo, Munich, Barcelona, London, etc. See the list

Philly's Fairmount Park system, the world's largest city park, is made up of 63 individual parks. Its 9,200 acres covers 10% of Philadelphia's land. Winding through the middle is the Schuylkill River. Fairmount park is home to 100 miles of jogging, bike, and bridle paths. The Philadelphia Zoo is America's oldest zoo. There are also 200 historic buildings including 29 colonial mansions throughout and boathouses along the river, six golf courses, various performance venues, and an array of landscaped gardens and wooded areas.

Ride or run the rugged trails along the Wissahickon Creek; Visit the Azalea Garden or the Japanese House and Garden; Cruise around the path along the Schuylkill river; Boathouse Row, Waterworks, and the Art Museum; Play golf at FDR Park; Softball or Football on Belmont Plateau;

There's much to do in our great park system, the spring and summer will only magnify those opportunities.
