Owner Orders Dog to Attack Man; Two Dead in Reading Fire; New Castle County Mumps; 'Do A 180' Embiid

Philadelphia Police are looking for a man wanted for using his dog to attack another man at a North Philadelphia gas station early Tuesday morning, 3/3. It happened around midnight on the 2900 block of North Broad Street. The suspect pulled up to the pump in a maroon Toyota SUV. The 62-year-old victim, Lewis Dunston Sr. aka Buzzhead, was sitting at the station looking to make some money pumping gas. The suspect got into an argument with the victim telling him to go away and that he didn't want him to pump his gas. Dunston did start to walk away but the suspect went into his car and retrieved his gray and white pit bull. The suspect ordered the dog to attack Dunston. The suspect then left the victim suffering in the street and drove away. The victim was treated at Temple Hospital for dog bites. If you have any information, contact police at 215-686-TIPS

Two people have died and a firefighter was injured in a house fire in Reading on Wednesday night, 3/4. It happened around 9 p.m. on the 700 block of Schuylkill Avenue. Firefighters arrived to find heavy flames coming from the row home. Two people were found dead inside. A firefighter was injured when he fell through an upper floor inside the home. The fire was brought under control just before 10 p.m. The victim's identities are not known. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

A mumps outbreak in New Castle County is being investigated by the Delaware Division of Public Health. So far there are seven confirmed cases and two probable cases. There are five confirmed cases at William Penn High School, one at George Read Middle School, and one at St. Georges Technical High School. The symptoms of mumps include fever, headache, body aches, loss of appetite, and swelling of salivary glands on the insides of the cheeks, floor of the mouth, and under the tongue. Mumps symptoms could develop from 12 days to 25 days after exposure. DPH advises any student or any member of the household who has symptoms or develops symptoms should be kept at home. Students in Delaware schools are required to be vaccinated unless parents have medical or religious exemptions for their children.

Sports
A clue on Wednesday night's episode of Jeopardy required a little bit of Philadelphia sports knowledge. Too bad the contestants were stumped. The category was "Current Sports Nicknames." The clue was, "Joel Embiid in 2019 won the trademark for this nickname of his that also describes the 76ers' strategy of improving the team." One contestant buzzed in and answered, "What is do a 180?" The other two did not attempt to answer. The correct response would be, "What is The Process?" Social media lit up following the episode with many Philly fans commenting on the incorrect answer given, "Do a 180." Joel Embiid even changed his name to Joel "Do a 180" Embiid on Twitter and other platforms.
