A Narberth teenager punched his ticket to 'Hollywood' on the season premiere of American Idol on Sunday night, 2/16, by performing an original song. 19-year-old Louis Knight wrote the song 'Change' after his best friend, Russell Peck, died by suicide in 2018. Knight and his family moved to the Philadelphia area from London eight years ago. Knight and his older brother initially bonded with Peck over soccer and the friendship grew from there. The 2018 graduate of Lower Merion High School auditioned on piano in front of Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, and Luke Bryan. All three judges had great praise for the singer-songwriter and gave him three 'Yes' votes to send him on to the next round in Los Angeles. Knight is currently delivering pizza for Narberth Pizza, when not working on his music. It looks like his future will change.

Delaware State Police say a 15-year-old was shot and killed inside a New Castle County apartment on Saturday night, 2/15. It happened just before 10 p.m. at the Newport Terrace Apartments on Bennett Court in Newport, DE. The family has identified the victim as Emomi Rivers. Neighbors say that there was loud music coming from the apartment and that kids were having a party. A woman came home from work and found the teen unresponsive. Rivers apparently did not live in the apartment, but was a guest at the party. Police are trying to determine what led up to the shooting. This is the fourth 15-year-old shot in Delaware this year.

Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele says that police are investigating after a man was shot and killed inside a Collegeville home on Saturday night, 2/15. It happened around 11:30 p.m. on the unit block of East 3rd Avenue. The 55-year-old man apparently had forced his way into the home and was shot by someone inside. The investigation is ongoing.
