PHILADELPHIA (FEBRUARY 26, 2019): WXPN, the non-commercial, member-supported radio station of the University of Pennsylvania, will present some of Philadelphia's most acclaimed musicians during the 2019 Amplify Philly Official Music Showcase on Monday, March 11 at the SXSW conference. Doors will open at 8 PM for the showcase taking place at the Amplify Philly House located at Pour Choices, 401 East 6th Street in Austin, Texas.
Artists performing in the Amplify Philly Official Music Showcase will be:
8:20-8:40 PM Rachel Andie & The Vth Element
9:30-10:00 Great Time
10:15-10:45 Foxtrot & The Get Down
11:00-11:35 Killiam Shakespeare
11:50-12:20 Ali Awan
12:40-1:20 AM Strand of Oaks
This is the fourth consecutive year that Amplify Philly has promoted and celebrated the city of Philadelphia's innovations in technology, arts and music at SXSW. It is the first year that WXPN, the recognized leader in Triple A music programming and radio home to many Philadelphia- based artists, has provided its support to the initiative.
Bruce Warren, WXPN Associate General Manager for Programming, said, "WXPN has presented music showcases at SXSW over the years, but with the Amplify Philly Official Music Showcase, we can help shine a spotlight on some of our city's most impressive musical talent, who are already familiar to XPN listeners."
