REC Philly Launches FREETHINKERS Membership Program for Local Creatives

REC Philly goes public with their FREETHINKERS Membership Program. Privately launched in May, the membership program currently has over 120 paid creatives including Julian King and Handwork Movement. The FREETHINKERS program is similar to a gym membership, but for creatives - or as Forbes Magazine describes "a WeWork for musicians".

The program is open to all creatives who are looking to build their business. This includes, and is not limited to: musicians, videographers, photographers, graphic designers, models, bloggers, managers, and many more.

For $34/month, FREETHINKERS have access to the REC Room, made up of a recording studio, visual lab, recreational room and a co-working space. As FREETHINKERS, members receive (4) complimentary hours per month to utilize the spaces. The program also offers assistance with merchandise, discounts on industry services through community partnerships, as well as booking opportunities across the city, including at their 400-person music venue in West Philadelphia - William Street Common.

REC Philly is partnered with local businesses to enhance the experience of their members. For example, current members can connect with the Boom Room Studios, where they can receive free rehearsal sessions each month from their membership. The African American Chamber of Commerce is another partner that offers free membership to their organization for FREETHINKERS.

iradiophilly has long been a strategic partner of REC Philly and the new FREETHINKERS program. Members receive discounted advertising rates to promote concerts, events, album releases, etc. on iradiophilly's radio stations and website. Our live streaming services are available at reduced rates through FREETHINKERS. Members also get a first look in our local music coverage.
