Philadelphia 2016 SXSW Initiative, Send Off Party and Austin Showcase Lineup, Live Broadcasts

Last year, Philadelphia music incubator RECPhilly, put together the first ever official Philadelphia showcase at the SXSW music festival in Austin, TX. In prior years, bands and artists from Philly would make their own way through week long fest. SXSW is also a Film and Technology fest and conference highlighting the best talent and startups in the country. This year, Philadelphia's official presence will be growing. Philly Startup Leader's Yuval Yarden and RECPhilly's Dave Silver are leading Philly's presence in Austin this year which will include a booth at the trade show highlighting several startups as well as the showcase concert.

This initiative is a public private partnership promoting innovation in Philadelphia between The City of Philadelphia, Philly Startup Leaders (and local startups), REC Philly, Comcast, Independance Blue Cross and Ben Franklin Technology Partners.

The Philly Showcase will be on March 15th at The Main in Downtown Austin at 8pm. The lineup features DJ Aktive (hosting), Vita and the Woolf, Kid Felix, Joie Kathos, Chill Moody, Dilemma, Ground Up, PNB Rock, Lil Dicky, and DJ Jazzy Jeff.

There will be a SXSW Send Off Party on Thursday March 3rd from 6-8pm at Coda, 1712 Walnut St Philadelphia. The event is free.
