Music News - Prince Paisley Park Concert; U2 Tour Preview Video; Kacey Musgraves Announces Album

On May 2nd, Prince invited fans to attend a concert at Paisley Park, his home/studio in Chanhassen, Minnesota. The show was called the "Dance Rally 4 Peace" and fans were encouraged to wear gray in honor of Freddie Gray, the Baltimore man who died during police transport last month. Prince has now made the entire 41-minute set with his band, 3rdEyeGirl, available on his Soundcloud account. The set includes "Chaos & Disorder", "Dreamer", "Crimson & Clover", and "Guitar" and encore of "PLECTRUMELECTRUM" and a cover of The Waterboys' "The Whole of the Moon." Listen to it below.

U2 released a short 45 second video to give fans a glimpse into what to expect from its upcoming "iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE" tour launching on Thursday. The video shows off the staging, lighting, and the band members performing. They've previously talked about the three-part stage, one in the shape of an 'I' and another like an 'e' with a catwalk between the two. You can see the catwalk a number of times in the video. They will also be using a different sound system that evenly distributes the sound throughout the arena, instead of the usualy giant speaker stacks on the sides of stage. This tour has the band playing multiple night residencies in fewer cities. U2 plans to vary the set lists from night to night during each stay. Unfortunately, they are not stopping in Philadelphia on this leg of the tour. The closest they get is a 10-day stay at Madison Square Garden at the end of July.

Country darling Kacey Musgraves has announced the follow-up to her award winning debut album 2013's Same Trailer Different Park. The two-time Grammy winner told fans that they can expect her second LP titled Pageant Material to be released on June 23rd. Musgraves co-wrote all 13 tracks on this new album with familiar collaborators Luke Laird, Shane McAnally, Brandy Clark and Josh Osborne. She is also credited as co-producer with with McAnally and Laird. Currently, the only single off the album playing on radio is "Bisquits."
