Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros Live in Upper Darby - Set List

Friday night, 5/11, I saw Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros in Upper Darby at the Tower Theater. Fool's Gold opened for them and it was an incredible experience, best concert I have been to, besides Arcade Fire. Their energy was so incredible, amping up the entire audience until every single person was dancing and singing along. Although they did not have a setlist, I was able to write down the list they did play. Of course they played the golden oldies off of Up From Below, which I have been listening to since the week after it released in 2009. Their new album has a much higher spirit and less slow songs. They also use the banjo a lot more. As for the venue, it was very beautiful and big enough that the show wasn't uncomfortable, since the show wasn't standing room only. The security guards were very nice too, they let us stand up front about 2 feet from the stage even though our tickets were farther back. I even got to meet the trumpeter, Stewart Cole. They loved being in Philly and I highly recommend the Tower Theater and even more so seeing Edward Sharpe, they opened and closed with my favorite songs, best night of my year easily. As I don't have the names for the new songs since they didn't announce them, I will fill them in after the CD releases.
