Tropical Storm Isaias blasted through the area on Tuesday leaving behind widespread flooding and wind damage. The storm spawned several tornados that caused damage to trees, cars, and buildings in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. The National Weather Service is still surveying damage in Doylestown, Bucks County to determine if a tornado touched down in that area. The bleacher stands at Central Bucks West High School were tossed over. Several vehicles in the parking lot at Doylestown Hospital were flipped over and onto each other like toy cars. The roof of a day care center behind the hospital was heavily damaged. That was the Children's Village child care center. Four children and two teachers sustained minor injuries and were checked out at the hospital. They are ok. Downed trees and power lines were widespread and many residents remain without power. Over 1 million customers in New Jersey lost power.

The heavy rains were major factor that are still affecting many. Localized flash flooding was a big concern midday Tuesday as Isaias was making its way over Philadelphia. Fire crews in Philadelphia and the surrounding counties were out making many water rescues of stranded drivers and residents in homes. Creeks and streams have spilled their banks. Darby Creek in Delaware County is causing big problems for residents and businesses. The Perkiomen Creek in Montgomery County broke a record from 1935. As the creeks and streams continue to pour into area rivers, already swollen waterways will continue to rise. The Schuylkill River isn't expected to crest until overnight Wednesday, 8/5. Kelly Drive is flooded. Main Street in Manayunk is already flooded. There is a River Flood Warning for Norristown until August 5 at 11 p.m. The river is at 20.5 feet as of 10 pm 8/4. Flood state is 13 feet. There is a River Flood Warning for Philadelphia until August 5 at 4 p.m. The river is as 13.2 feet as of 10 pm 8/4. Flood state is 11 feet.
